Our Christmas Miracle Resturns Home
Every Christmas Eve for the last 23 years, Delia Roman Knox has observed an anniversary most of us could never imagine- the night a drunk driver hit her, paralyzing her from the waist down and confining her to a wheel chair for life... that is until now.
Every Christmas Eve for the last 23 years, Delia Roman Knox has observed an anniversary most of us could never imagine- the night a drunk driver hit her, paralyzing her from the waist down and confining her to a wheel chair for life... that is until now. Christmas Eve 2010 marked a brand-new anniversary - the year of her miracle, the year of her healing, the year heaven touched earth and literally lifted her out of the wheelchair and onto her feet. She is fully walking, in heels no less!
And she was at the Tabernacle Christmas Eve service to celebrate. "I felt as if I had returned to my Bethel, my place of promise," Delia said. "The Lord brought me to Genesis 48:3&7 retelling a promise that was given to Jacob. It was home at The Tabernacle that I've many times over received words, yet I will never forget my 10th year in the chair, when Bishop Reid mentioned me in his sermon while he was speaking on turning plow shares into weapons. His words have stuck with me since-
'turning instruments of productivity into weapons of warfare.' Hence from there, I refused to mourn the loss of the use of my legs but to celebrate the strength given to make it through another year in the strength of the Lord! Returning home to The Tab, was returning to my Bethel - promises given, promises received, promises walked out! I believe it was a return to Bethel for all of us." In light of her miracle, what significance will Christmas Eve now hold for Delia? "I would encourage
everyone that Bethlehem is not to be a place of burial but a place of birthing of a promise." For more information on the miracle of Delia Roman Knox, you can follow her on Facebook, visit www.deliamusic.com or www.lwccim.com, the website for the church she pastors with her husband, Bishop Levy Knox.
New Café Opens Sunday February 13th.
A wise man once said, "No one can understand the truth until he drinks of coffee's frothy goodness." So what better place than The Tabernacle to open a brand new coffee café? February 13th marks the opening of the Tabernacle's brand-new coffee house. Features and décor promise to rival those found in your other former favorite coffee
hangouts—Panera and Starbucks. With a fireplace setting and flat screen TV monitors running announcements, videos and live-time services, if you're not a coffee drinker, you'll wish you were! But not to worry, of course our menu will feature all the standard fare such as smoothies and fine teas. And if you've ever imagined being a coffee house
barista—here's your chance—the new café is looking for about 20 new volunteers to keep the java flowing and the atmosphere friendly. Man does not live by coffee alone, so while you're there, grab a danish too!
3D Woman Show on TCT Television
If typical talk show dialogue has left you bored or dissatisfied, welcome to what may very well be your new favorite show: 3D Woman! With a winning combination of spiritual, smart and sassy - 3D Woman was created for women of all ages and stages of life, the churched, as well as the unchurched and is
quickly becoming one of the highest rated shows on the TCT network. Hosted by three dynamic women, each one brings a different "D-mension" to the table: Recording Artist and Pastor Delia Knox, married to Bishop Levy Knox (Pastors of Living Word Christian Center in Alabama), Pastor Aimee Reid-Sych, Worship and Arts Pastor at the Tabernacle,
who is married and a mother of 2, and Author and Speaker Michelle McKinney Hammond, who is single. Of the vibrant trio, says Aimee, "We all have unique gifts and different styles of communication, but all are worshippers at the core. Delia is the poetic Psalmist, Michelle the storyteller and I'm the teacher of the group—so while we are different, we still have the greatest of commonality ... worship!"
The concept for the show is "3D Conversations" ...To build transparent, heart-to-heart conversations among women. "In today's world, secular women live an open lifestyle where they have thrown their heart to a world that has devastated them. They sit with girlfriends at a club, drinking wine, laughing about their lives and then walk away
feeling so empty and void," said Aimee. "Women want real answers communicated in a very transparent manner ... and we are not afraid to do that! During our "Wildcard" shows, we address viewer mail and some mail is so candid, it's hard to even address the issues on Christian TV ... but it is so needed! The word of God offers truth for EVERY situation and EVERY question ... and it's our job to communicate just that!"
3D Woman presently airs at 10:30 p.m. Saturday night, and 12 Noon on Tuesdays on local channel 26. It also airs on Direct TV (channel 377), Sky Angel (channel 133) and new TCT stations which include Detroit and Cleveland, as well as all the TCT stations through out the United States. And good news! If you're late to catch on, you can view previous programs you may have missed by clicking 3D Woman online from the TCT Video On Demand screen.
3D Woman's Early Morning Prayer on Friday in the World Prayer Center
On Friday mornings, in the dark and cold of the day, if you happen to be out around 5 a.m., you just might catch a glimpse of the caravan making its way through the Tim Horton's drive-thru and then heading over to the Prayer Tower. All women, all hoping the heat will be on, and all coming together for one purpose: to pray and soak in the
presence of the Lord. "This really started as an impression from the Lord that a morning prayer time needed to be initiated," said Erin Paolericio. "I felt a real burden specifically for some of our ladies in leadership....those who are always giving out but most likely in need of some "pouring in." It has grown into such a beautiful time of
intercession and worship... in an unstructured type of way. Every Friday morning has had its own "flow" to it. I think we all just come in and feel like, "Ok Lord, whatever You'd like to do... I'm here and ready!" Those who attend agree - when that alarm goes off at 4:30 a.m., it's not always easy to get out of bed, but the prayer meeting has
always been worth it - and now 5 a.m. Fridays are met with hearts full of expectation.
Spring Men's Conference at the Adam's Mark
Are you ready for some ManTime?! Invading the Adam's Mark Hotel in downtown Buffalo on March 25th and 26th, 2011, ManTime is a regional men's conference sponsored by ICCL and Rev. Gary Kellner, Rev. Allen Baun with The Tabernacle's Men of Valor, Rev. Marty McDonald from City Church in Batavia, Rev. Ron Burgio with Elim Fellowship,
and Rev. Matt Brown of Pentecostal Tabernacle. "This conference is coming out of the realization that Christian men need to have a move of God that will change them to assume their rightful places in their homes, their churches, their communities- to recognize they have a God-given roll that they need to fulfill," said Rev. Baun.
There will be a $25 registration fee, which includes a general session on Friday night, Saturday morning breakfast meeting, and various break-out sessions. Overnight stay at the Adam's Mark is optional with special room rates available. Dynamic Producer and Recording Artist Tony Hooper will lead worship. The conference will conclude
with what promises to be a powerful communion service led by Bishop Reid, Rev. Burgio and Rev. Brown, each representing significant forces in the church- The Assemblies of God, Church of God in Christ and Elim Fellowship.
Men are encouraged to create foursomes for the conference- either to help financially sponsor those who might otherwise be unable to attend, or simply to make sure that all men feel welcome and included. Says Baun, "The Emphasis will not be on people and personalities- it's on being men and serving God." ... Because it's time for men.
