From our leadership: Pastor JoAnn

Being a Co-Director of the Woman's Ministry of The Tabernacle is something I embrace and thank God for. Working with Pastor Aimee, Mrs. Reid, and their leadership teams has caused me to develop into a 3D Woman With Focus.

Just as I was destined to be a "Girlie Girl" I was also destined to use my life experiences and my love for the women of Scripture to minister to contemporary women from the Word of God. Although Bible women for the most part are sketchy, subordinate figures there were those who were in every way(even when they were "desperate Housewives") women of determination, distinction, and destiny who. I fully believe woman to be the crescendo of God's creation! "If man is the head ~ then women are certainly the crown."

Although women were created to be "Wonderfully well and blessed, and highly favored of the Lord, most women through the ages agonize over many of the same issues like their identity and self image, child birth, children, the need for affection, jealousy, disappointments and circumstances beyond their control. It is an honor to be a part of an army of women in ministry able to simply remind and affirmed them through the study of the Scriptures that they are strong, capable and unique.

For example, woman are innately romantic. What little girl doesn't dream of being a bride engaged to her Prince Charming? The bride in preparation for her bridegroom. Sound familiar? One author speaking allegorically said: "he came, he met a girl and fell in love, he went to prepare a place for her, and he will be back to get her." Isn't that something right out of a romantic novel! Women are comfortable with weddings. They underst and that the Bible opens with a perfect bride and it closes with a perfected bride. Jesus opened His ministry at a wedding and He will close it at a wedding.

Women are also innately influential! They have the ability to "sway a situation." Sometimes they just need to be reminded. The goal of my teaching is that woman feel more loved and accepted than ever before by learning how to grow and learn to experience intimacy with the lover of their soul. And that their destiny will be determined by their response to the Him.
